TO BE USED ONLY WITH FLY ! II

-------------------------------
Product description
-------------------------------
Realization:

This dex file will attribute their ICAO codes (OACI in French) to 3599 US airports, who only had, in Fly!, a FAA code (this US coding system is not used in the "rest of the world".

These airports had a generic code "KZ", so it was not very easy to diffenciate them, particularly when we had to build a flight plan with VolNav!

From now on, these airports will get their real ICAO codes : for instance,
- DALLAS BAY SKY PARK, whose FAA code is "1A0" will have the ICAO code "K1A0",
- HALF MOON BAY (Laurent C.'s favorite airport), code FAA "HAF", will have the ICAO code "KHAF".

This coding suits the official coding provided by the US authorities, except if there were any errors in the Fly! database (I didn't controled the 3599 airports!!!)

Content:
- AIRPORT-US-ICAO-MODIF.dex
- Lisezmoi.txt (en Franais)
- Readme.txt (in English)

------------------
Installation
------------------
1. You MUST first SAVE your "AIRPORT.POD" file, it is located in the "SYSTEM" of your Fly!II.
2. Copy the "AIRPORT-US-ICAO-MODIF.dex" file into your Fly!II.
3. Import this file with DEXIMPORT ou DEXIMPORTGUI.
(You can read a tutorial on the Fly.Simvol site, "FLY! II Files", "Utilities", page http://fly.simvol.org/telechargement_fly2/utilitaires/pagesus/deximport.php)

--> If you don't like this new coding, you only have to copy your saved version of "AIRPORT.POD" into your "Fly!II/System".

Thanks
------------------
Thanks to :
- our friend Didier "Hands" from LFRS, for all his fantastic tools, particularly VolNav! and VolEdit!, who tested this DEX file.
- Frank W. Racis for the so useful "deximport".
- Jean-Marie who realized the model of this "Read-me".

And a special thought in the memory of Richard.
