B1900DAirliner_ver_6 for FLY2
Modified by Tony Cervone and Leen de Jager

Leen and I are happy to introduce to FLYers a modified version of the B1900D by Jarno Deken and Henri Werij. This version includes a number of new features that will make flying the B1900D airliner more enjoyable and, more importantly, safe. On a personal note, it's been a pleasure for me to have had the help and the cooperation of Leen, considering that my skills( and talent) in painting are at ground zero.

The instrument panel has a "feel right " 3D look. This has been accomplished by lowering the upper panel and centerpost ,and adding shadowing to the main panel. Also new is access to the autopilot without having to change views. Don't forget to look at the autopilot buttons in the upper panel! Note the HDI and Course indicator buttons located above the gauge so that the pilot can change headings on autopilot without, again, having to change views. In sum, the pilot will be able to Fly IFR without the need to change views.

The exterior model as well as interior views have received nice touches: notice the new bright colors and details of the cabin door; the winglet in left rear view, the windshield wipers and the cargo door.

The turn radius has been "tightened" for those small airports.

Installation:
Simply replace the b1900.pod with the new B1900ver6.
Attention: The ac_defaultFix.POD should be present in the Aircraft folder as well, since it provides some needed dll's. However, if you choose not to have the ac_defaultFix.pod, simply install the dll drivers.

Optional. There are some great enhanced turboprop sounds for this aircraft in the Avsim library. Simply place themin the "sound" folder in FLY2 directory.

Bugs: I could not get the autobrake to work.

This new version incorporates a new cockpit modification for the B1900. It provides a "feel right" cockpit modification, including autopilot in the main panel and the hdi and course selectors above the guage instrument. Why these changes? If the panel is adjusted properly,(see picture) the pilot will have the best 3d cockpit experience(the upper panel and most of the main panel) as well as access to those autopilot controls that eliminate the need to switch panels during critical phases of the flight.

So with this in mind, the B1900v6 offers a totally new approach to FLY2 aircrafts.

The following individuals are credited for much of the panel add ons, such as centerposts, autobrake and other features found in my cockpit mods. It's taking me too long and at times it's impossible to contact some of these authors, since they no longer frequent the FLY2 forum, or have since moved on. I hope that their inclusion here , in this manner, is a strong testament that without their original efforts and talents, all of this would not be possible. To all of you, thank you!

Hints: Scroll the panel so that the last two rows of the autopilot buttons are visible. This will make the gauge below the Artificial Horizon visible for IFR flying. The two knobs on the HDI will be accessible as well as the ILS needles visible.
When you have just the right view, lock this view by pressing "shift-F1". When FLY2 starts, simply press F1 and this panel will appear.
